Flag of Switzerland
The flag of Switzerland has a white cross in the middle of a red square background. The flag is square shaped as well. All the arms of the cross are equal in length.
The white cross sygnifies christianity and flag usually symbolizes freedom , neutrality, democracy, peace and refuge.
The flag was adopted on December 12, 1889. The flag was originally adopted by the swiss military in 1849 and then later on it became the national flag in 1889.
