Flag of Somalia
The flag of Somalia has a sky blue background with a white five point star placed at the centre of the flag.
The star's individual points represent the five historical regions inhabited by the Somali people which are Italian Somaliland (Somalia), British Somaliland (Somalia), French Somaliland (Djibouti), the Ogaden region of Ethiopia and north Kenya.
The flag was adopted on October 12, 1954 and was designed by Mr. Mohammed Awale Liban.
