Flag of Bahamas
The national flag of Bahamas has a black-colored equilateral triangle on the left edge (hoist side). Adjacent to the triangle are positioned three equal horizontal bands of light blue (top), yellow (gold) and light blue color. The various elements on the flag represent:
- The black triangle indicates the unity and willpower of the people of the Bahamas
- The top and bottom light blue colored bands represent the Caribbean sea
- The yellow band signifies the sun
The flag was officially adopted on July 10, 1973.
