Flag of Isle of Man
The Isle of Man has a curious design on its flag. The red field has three legs, joined at the hip and encased in armor, forming a kind of wheel. This is ancient emblem of the island which has been used on flags and other emblems for several hundred years. It is often shown in other patterns, even reversed, but the style shown here is official. Like Guernsey, the civil ensign of the Isle of Man is a British Red Ensign, with the emblem added in the fly. Again, this may only be used in coastal waters and between the Isle and the British mainland.
The ratio of the flag is 1:2.
