Flag of Morocco

Red has been the traditional color of the flag of Morocco since the 16th century, and is said to represent the blood ties between the royal family and the prophet Mohammed. The green pentacle, depicting the Seal of Soloman, was added to the center in 1915, and the flag has remained in its present form since then. Like other French-occupied areas and colonies in northern Africa, but unlike those to the south, Morocco has not taken any adaptation of the tricolor to use as its flag. Even during French occupation, the only evidence was a tricolor in the canton of the civil ensign.

The ratio of the flag is 2:3.
